Tova Kreps, LCSW; President

Tova is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the President and Co-Founder of Wellspring Counseling. She has been practicing as a therapist with families, couples, individuals and children for the past 24 years. She is a Qualified Counseling Supervisor in the state of Florida.

Tova particularly specializes in trauma and recovery work. She has taught trauma courses at Miami International Seminary and Trinity International University, is a certified practitioner of EMDR, and is a Certified Trauma Specialist.

She has done public speaking and teaching for conferences, workshops, retreats, churches, schools and small groups.

Tova’s prior work experience also includes school counseling at Westminster Christian School, clinical work with emotionally disturbed foster children, and domestic violence. Tova is married and a mother of three.

Vicki Gray, LCSW; Clinical DirectorVicki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently working as therapist and Clinical Director at Wellspring Counseling and a faculty Member at Florida International University (FIU). She has devoted the past 15 years working as a counselor to individuals, couples, families and groups experiencing death, divorce, change, parenting and relationship issues. She specialized in working with individuals (and their caregivers) coping with illness or those facing end of life issues, as she worked as a bereavement specialist for South Miami Hospital for 12 years. Vicki has been teaching at FIU in the School of Social Work for the past eight years. As a clinical professor, she enjoys educating, preparing and mentoring future counselors. She has extensive public speaking experience and has presenting on a variety of subject areas to private and public organizations, schools and churches. She has been married for 17 years and is a mother of 3 daughters.

Kay Gackle, LMFT

Kay is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her BS in Psychology from Florida State University and her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Thomas University. Kay is also trained in EMDR.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Kay's experiences include working with children and their parents, adolescents, adults with anxiety, grief and loss in both children and adults, EMDR, and couples/marriage counseling. 

Prior to working at Wellspring Counseling, Kay was the Director of the Child Development Center. She is active in Missions, both locally and globally; she has helped set up two rescue homes in Nicaragua, led short-term trips and worked closely with missionaries and their families.

Kay is married and a mother of two.

Lyle Green, MHC

Lyle is a Registered Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. He also has his Masters in Theological Studies from Wheaton Graduate School.

Lyle specializes in personal, marital and family counseling. His many years as a counselor and pastor, equip him to support individuals and families through times of crisis or distress.
Lyle has many years of experience in the field in pastoral and clinical counseling, leadership development, writing, preaching and teaching. He has worked as an Associate Pastor for University Baptist Church for 10 years, and at Westminster Christian School for 18 years as a chaplain, leader and teacher.

Lyle is married with one adult child.

Heather Hendry, MHC

Heather is a Registered Mental Health Counselor. She received her MS in Professional Counseling from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Heather is trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

As a therapist, Heather has experience in working with women, adolescents, children, and families. Although she has a passion to work with victims of trauma and abuse she has helped clients dealing with a variety of other issues including: anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, domestic and dating violence, parenting, family conflict, grief and loss, divorce and life adjustment. 

Heather is recently married.


Jeff Rice, LMHC, CAP

 Jeff is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He also is an Ordained Minister through the Evangelical Church Alliance. His Bachelor’s degree is in Interpersonal and Group Communications. 

Jeff is a Certified Addictions Professional and a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist specializing in substance abuse. He is an experienced counselor of depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and anxiety.

As a former high school science teacher, Jeff has a love for teens. Prior life experiences in the Army, National Guard and as a Paramedic suit him well for men or women with similar life experiences.

Jeff enjoys training and motivational speaking. He is married.



Rebecca Roberts, LMHC 

Rebecca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She also holds a BA degree from Trinity International University in Biblical Studies. Rebecca specializes in working with adults and children in the areas of abuse and trauma, as well as grief and loss. She is trained in EMDR.



Rebecca has also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, as well as a school teacher, both in private, and public school settings.

For over 25 years Rebecca has been actively involved in her local church and youth camps, teaching and mentoring youth and young adults. She also works with her husband providing pre-marital counseling for church members. Rebecca is married and is the mother of two adult children.

Mike is a Missionary on staff for Wellspring Counseling. He has over 30 years expereince as a Pastor and Licensed Therapist.  Mike's pastoral ministries have included Associate Pastor's positions and providing Chaplain services for hospitals, county jails, prisons, and law enforcement.  His practice as a therapist has encompassed individual, adults, adolescents, children groups, and marriage and family therapy.


Mike has a passion for investing in church communities in strengthening "interpersonal ministries" through small groups, personal mentoring, conflict resolution, leadership development, marriage restoration and Maturing Men Ministries. He provides seminars, retreats, preaching training, and consulting.  Mike also ministers with START (Seeking Transformation And Restoration Together) in conducting seminars, retreats and groups for men struggling with issues of sexuality, intimacy, spirituality and leadership.

Mike is married, father of three daughters, father-in-law and grandfather. 



Christine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wellspring Counseling. She specializes in issues regarding grief and loss as well as abuse and trauma. She is a trained practitioner of EMDR and a Certified Trauma Specialist. She counsels children, individual adults, couples and families. She offers her services in English and Spanish. She is a Qualified Counseling Supervisor in the state of Florida.

Christine has taught in the counseling program at Trinity International University and has led workshops on a variety of mental-health topics in the U.S. and in Latin America. Christine's work experience also includes counseling and teaching children in a school setting at Christ Fellowship Academy.

Christine has served as a missionary for over 25 years. Having lived abroad, she understands both the demands of ministry and the complexities of life in a cross-cultural context, and has counseled both immigrants and other Christian workers. Christine is married and a mother of three.

Monica Snyder

Monica is a Licensed Provisional Marriage and Family Counselor. She holds a BA from Covenant College in Psychology and a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Richmont University. She also is specially trained in child and adolescent therapy from Richmont University. She has completed several classes in Play Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT and Motivational Interviewing. Monica specializes in child and adolescent counseling as well as parent counseling. She also is qualified to provide premarital and marital counseling.  

Before Wellspring, Monica worked in community mental health as an Intensive Family Service Provider for several years. She worked with families on the verge of having to place their children in residential treatment spending between 3 to 10 hours a week with each family in individual, family and parent counseling. 

Monica is actively involved in helping to replant a church in Miami Springs with her family. She is married with three children.

Beth Assis, Intern 

Beth is a Masters in Counseling Psychology student at Trinity International University and will graduate in May 2014.  Upon graduation, she plans to work toward her Mental Health Counseling license in the state of Florida.  

Beth’s passions include working with families: children, teenagers, and married couples.   She is also passionate about working with people in ministry positions.  In the past she has worked as an Elementary School teacher and as an Assistant Youth Director at a church.  

Beth is married and has three children.  




Loidys Scott, Office Manager

Loidys serves as the office manager for Wellspring Counseling and is currently pursuing a degree in social work.

She came to Wellspring with a diverse professional background, the much needed organizational skills to keep our office in order, and a heart for ministry. She is passionate about Wellspring Counseling's mission and loves her role in providing extended support to clients and staff therapists.

Loidys is married and a mother of two children.

Leah Chung, Receptionist

Leah serves as the receptionist for Wellspring Counseling and is presently pursuing a degree in Clinical Psychology. She would like to eventually work with addictions through becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. 

Leah grew up in a family of seven. She has two sisters and two brothers. She is a devoted Christ follower and considers herself to be a precious child of God.

Heather Walton, Administrative Assistant 


Heather assists in organizing donations and communication with current and future donors of Wellspring Counseling.  She is pursuing a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling at Barry University and is currently a mental health intern at Agape Family Ministries.


Heather has coached girls soccer at Westminster Christian School for the past four years.  She majored in Biopsychology at Philadelphia University, where she also played for the university’s womens soccer team.  Heather hopes to continue her involvement in coaching, research, and family counseling after she graduates in May. 

Peter Raffalski, Chairman of the Board

Peter is the Senior Vice President of Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust in Ocean Reef, with over 25 years of banking experience. He has served on numerous church and community boards.

Charles Rogers, Treasurer of the Board

Charles has worked for 38 years in commercial real estate. He works for Courtelis Company and is an elder at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church.

Rob Porras, Board Director

Rob is the pastor at New Life Community Church. He leads the spiritual direction and prayer ministry of Wellspring Counseling.

Rick Sawyer, Board Director

Rick is the CEO at Hope for Miami, serving in non-profit orgnaization management for Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. 


Jim Hannon, Board Director


 Jim is a founding shareholder of the lawfirm of Hannon & Boyers, PA. He has served in many legal and community organizations.
